Delivery Driver, Building Materials Denver, CO

Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 30 branches throughout the United States. Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial, industrial, retail, residential and institutional markets.

Position Summary: Rugby Architectural Building Products is growing. We are seeking a Delivery Driver. We mostly deliver hardwood and sheet stock, as well as molding, doors and other supplies to cabinet shops and lumber yards; requires multiple stops. You will be driving a medium size box truck, interacting with customers, and handling product.

Who Are We Looking For:

  • Valid driver's license – CDL A or B a plus!
  • Must be able to pass a physical examination as required by the U. S. Department of Transportation and provide a valid medical card
  • You will be required to pass a driving test as required by the company's truck leasing company
  • You must be able to successfully pass a Valid OSHA approved forklift certification (company training provided)
  • You will be required to pass a drug test, background and motor vehicle pre-employment screen
  • Experience working in a warehouse & lumber yard a plus
  • Reliable and dependable -- show up to work on time and ready to start the day
  • Be able to read, write and be able to understand verbal and written instructions
  • Communicate effectively to co-workers and management about progress of order and deliveries

What You Will Do:

  • This is a physically intensive job – you must be able to lift heavy, awkward products repeatedly to store, remove from storage, or load onto a truck (up to 50-100 lbs. with a helper)
  • You will be required to work both inside and outside in extremes of cold, heat and humidity, depending on the season and location
  • You will be exposed to modest amounts of dust, fumes, noise and vibration

This role is a Safety Sensitive position, subject to routine drug screening.
