Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 26 branches throughout the United States. Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial, industrial, retail, residential and institutional markets.
Position Summary:
The Line Coordinator collaborates with the Door Shop Manager to supports the manufacturing and assembly of interior and exterior doors. This role involves assisting with production tasks and maintaining a clean and organized workspace and ensuring quality standards are met. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
- Assist in the assembly, cutting, and preparation of doors and door components.
- Operate basic woodworking and hand tools
- Load, unload, and move materials as required.
- Inspect finished products for quality and consistency.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment following all safety procedures.
- Report equipment malfunctions or material shortages to the supervisor.
- Support inventory management and restocking of materials.
- Collaborate and help lead team members to meet daily production goals.
Job Requirements (Education & Experience)
- 1–2 years of construction experience
- Experienced in forklift operation (certification preferred)
- Lumber yard experience a plus
- Skilled in verifying incoming materials against documentation, reporting discrepancies or damage, and ensuring proper inventory handling.
- An effective communicator who works well with customers and team members to resolve fabrication or delivery issues
- Reliable and flexible, with the ability to locate, stage, and prepare materials for timely customer pickup or delivery.
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Be able to lift and carry products from 5-75 lbs
- The functions of this position are performed in a production warehouse, consistently exposed to modest amounts of heat, dust, fumes and noise.
